Tour most advertising agencies or communications firms and your host will undoubtedly point out where the account service people are located, the media department resides, and most assuredly where all the creative gets developed - distinctly different departments all with people who perform distinctly different functions on behalf of a brand. As much as they are trying to work from a single brand idea, each has their own perspective on what’s best for the brand - typically resulting in communication breakdowns and lackluster work. My approach differs.

My approach is to handle all the key communications functions for a client with only limited support from other independent contractors and peers as needed. “How can you do it all well?” you may ask. The answer is twofold: I have a broad range of skill sets, and because I become so intimate with my clients’ brands that one discipline simply flows into the next - a natural extension of reaching each brand’s objectives and setting initiatives into place.
